XAccounting for Daylite provides the ability to manage contacts between Daylite and Xero.

A Xero contact can be linked in Daylite to a company (optionally with a related person), or to a person directly, providing compatibility with both B2B and B2C workflows.

Initial notes

The information sent to Xero from a Daylite contact is dependant on the various label and role mappings that can be configured in the preferences for XAccounting for Daylite.
Please refer to this FAQ for further information regarding configuring the available preferences for XAccounting for Daylite.

For the purposes of this guide, it is assumed that a connection to Xero has been established.

Create a new contact in Xero from a Daylite contact

In this case, a contact exists in Daylite, but a corresponding contact does not yet exist in Xero.

To create a new Xero contact linked to the selected Daylite contact, navigate to the XAccounting tab and click on Create new contact.

Once a link is established, the XAccounting tab will display a link to the Xero contact profile.

Link an existing contact in Xero to a Daylite contact

In this case, a contact exists in Daylite, and a corresponding contact exists in Xero.

To link the selected Daylite contact to an existing Xero contact, navigate to the XAccounting tab and click on Link to existing contact.

Select a Xero contact to link with the selected Daylite contact and click Link Xero Contact.

Once a link is established, the XAccounting tab will display a link to the Xero contact profile.

Update a linked contact in Xero with details from a Daylite contact

Since linking contact records, the Daylite contact may be edited to include new or updated information, but those changes have not been updated in Xero.

To update a linked Xero contact with the current Daylite details, click on Update details from Daylite.  The Xero contact will be updated with all relevant details from Daylite.
